![]() Think of it as a Reaction version of Warding Bond. You can use the Reaction on an ally within 30 ft. It would give Immunity to Necrotic damage and give you a Reaction that gives you +1 AC and Resistance to Acid, Cold, Fire, Force, Poison, Psychic, Lightning and Thunder damage until the start of your next turn provided you have not taken Radiant damage since your last turn. *Indestructible Life - I would change this feature completely. I would also further improve Defy Death so that if you hold a creatures severed limb in place when you use Spare the Dying to heal a creature it is reattached. ![]() *10th Level - I would add to Undying Nature giving immunity to the Poisoned condition, allow you to reattach your severed limbs during a rest, including your head this giving immunity to death by decapitation provided you still have HP. In addition I would have the HP the Warlock recovers be improved to 1d8 + Warlock level, and change the healing to creatures with Spare the Dying to 1d8+Cha Mod. *6th Level - Defy Death would have the changes I suggestion earlier. I would improve Spare the Dying to have a 30 ft. to saves against Disease to Immunity and give Adv. *1st Level - Rename Among the Dead and remove the Undead Sanctuary. ![]() I would want the subclass to offer the Warlock good defense and support tools. I would really like to see the Undying Patron focused more on immortality and have the Necromancy themes removed. If the feature on a Death Save was changed to a Short Rest from a long rest and the Spare the Dying improvement uses scaled with Proficiency Bonus per Long Rest it would play much better. Even if all they did was change Defy Death's uses like the Bladesinger's song. They could have made a few changes to make it so that it is better. I feel like Van Richten's was a good chance to republish the Undying Patron much like the Bladesinger was. The SCAG subclasses have been very slowly republished, and the Undying Warlock has similarities to the Undead Patron so to not republish it seems like WotC is leaving it to die. With the Undead Patron being published in the upcoming book, are people concerned that this will leave the Undying Patron forgotten? Many people argue that the Undead Patron is not "fixing" or replacing the Undying Patron but they clearly have a lot of thematic overlap with Undead, Undeath, Necromancy and example Patrons being Liches or Dreadlords.
